Are you an experienced Design professional?
Completing the Bachelor of Design via Capable NZ recognises your talent, expertise and significant experience in the world of fashion, interiors, communication or product design. This is a degree qualification that reflects your skills in a specialist area of design. As a current practitioner you will have a wide body of experience that demonstrates your learning in your chosen field.
The interior designer plans and creates private and public spatial solutions. Your experience in this field may cover a large range from domestic spaces (residential design), work place interiors (commercial design), bars, cafes and restaurants (hospitality) or much more.
How can Capable NZ help you achieve the Bachelor of Design degree?
To apply you will be able to produce three completed works accompanied by all preparatory work that show the development of the idea. This may include such as preliminary sketches/paintings, sources of inspiration, journals reflecting the design process, design documentation and so on, that demonstrate the development of the idea to the finished product. During the 10 month Capable NZ programme you will work with a facilitator to further develop a portfolio of evidence and new learning that demonstrates you meet the academic benchmark of a Graduate Profile. This will include a design project in your chosen field of specialty.
Work-based Learning (WBL)
As an experienced designer our work-based learning (WBL) programme is an ideal pathway to help you achieve this qualification that will allow you to showcase your learning from previous design experience, and develop a new learning project in your area of specialty.
